How we help

Support for the person you love—and the people who love them.

We bring education, engagement, advocacy, navigation, and trusted connections together in one compassionate place.

Family Guidance & Education

Understand dementia-related changes, prepare for difficult conversations, and learn approaches that support your loved one with greater calm, dignity, and connection.

Meaningful Engagement

Personalized experiences centered on the individual’s interests, abilities, history, and preferences—from gardening and creating to music, movement, worship, and conversation.

Trusted Resource Connections

Identify when specialized assistance may be helpful and connect with trusted professionals for placement, legal, home-care, and other needs. Families remain in control of every decision.

Assisted Living Transition & Family Guidance

We help families understand what assisted living is—and what it is not—prepare for the move, communicate with community staff, and help their loved one feel supported before, during, and after the move.

Travel & Long-Distance Support

Support is not limited to the Carolinas. We travel by arrangement when families need a trusted presence, engagement companion, or knowledgeable advocate nearby.

Staff Training & Partnerships

A 75-minute on-site session for senior-living communities and home health agencies covering dementia-informed communication, meaningful engagement, transitions, and working with families, with time for questions. Weekday sessions are $350 for up to 20 staff members at one location; travel outside our local service area is quoted separately. For Saturday or Sunday training, contact us before booking to discuss availability and pricing. Additional sessions and tailored training are available by request.

Planning & protection resources

Do you need help with a power of attorney, guardianship, advance medical directive, will, or trust—but do not know where to begin?

You do not have to sort through the legal-planning process alone. We can help you identify the right questions and connect you with affordable legal resources through JOISecure and LegalShield.

Frequently asked questions

A clear place to begin.

These answers can help you understand our role and decide on your next step.

Can you help our family with legal-planning needs?

We can help you recognize common planning needs and connect you with affordable legal resources for matters such as powers of attorney, guardianship, advance medical directives, wills, and trusts. We do not provide legal advice.

Do you provide medical or hands-on personal care?

No. JOI at Home Senior Concierge provides nonmedical education, meaningful engagement, family guidance, advocacy, resource navigation, and concierge support. We do not diagnose, treat, bathe, toilet, administer medication, or replace licensed clinical and personal-care providers.

Can you help us prepare for a move into assisted living?

Yes. We help families understand what assisted living is—and what it is not—prepare for the move, communicate important care information, and support their loved one’s adjustment. We do not select or compare communities. When placement assistance is needed, we can connect families with a trusted referral partner.

Do you work only in the Carolinas?

No. We are based in the Rock Hill, Fort Mill, and Charlotte area, but travel can be arranged wherever there is a need. Virtual guidance is also available.
